Ranked #1 for fun activities and games in Koh Samui, don’t miss out on a day out on our footgolf course. This hybrid 18-hole footgolf course and botanical garden is a great spot for both sports fans and the non-sporty guests amongst you — this activity combines a nice walk in nature with a fun game for all. The course twists and turns through the jungle, providing many surprises and variety as you play.
Heaps of work has gone into the design of the course, and it is home to over 350 species of tropical plants. Whilst encouraging fun and sports, we also make sure our work is sustainable — we estimate to use less than 1% of the chemicals used on a regular golf course. Our friendly driver will pick you up at your hotel reception and transfer you directly to our football course. Once you arrive, you will be greeted by our team, who will provide you with a scorecard and the footballs (and shoes, if needed).
Then you’re away playing holes 1 through 11 first. Each hole is a private, beautifully landscaped garden, so you won’t be disturbed by others while you play. At hole 11, which is back at reception, you’ll have a chance to take a break and enjoy a complimentary soft drink, some cool towels and a tasty, homemade coconut snack.
Once you’ve had a good rest, you will then finish the rest of the course (holes 12 to 18). The whole course is well-shaded by palm trees, so you can stop and enjoy the garden scenery, too. Once you’ve finished all 18 holes, you will receive a prize and a podium photo to remember this unique experience by!
We’ll then transfer you back to your hotel or drop you off at the nearby Big Buddha temple or Blai Leam temple if you’re keen to keep sightseeing. Come and kick your football into each of the 18 holes on this unique tropical course! Once you’re done, you’ll soon be wanting to tell everyone about this great new game. Bring your biggest smile and loudest laugh — you’re going to need them!
No guide or caddy needed! That means it’s up to you when to participate in this exciting activity. Hotel pick-ups are private and operate all day with flexibile schedules.
The course is conveniently located on the beach road 5 minutes from the Big Buddha temple and 10 minutes from the main resort town of Chaweng, allowing for short transit times to and from the course from most areas of Samui.
This course was specially designed by one of the founders of the game. The game has two branches: football golf and footgolf. An ex-Dutch international football player, Brian Roy, played the Koh Samui course in the summer of 2009. Brian took the idea to Holland, and a couple of months later in October 2009, the first ever footgolf event was showcased on a real, full-sized golf course in Amsterdam.
