The day starts early but it’s relaxed right from the beginning. An air-conditioned minivan will collect you from your hotel reception and transfer you to the pier at Nathon. At Nathon pier you will be greeted by our guides and the team who will welcome you onboard the 23m long fully equipped tour boat. As you depart, you’ll enjoy a light breakfast and your guide will give a briefing on the day’s activities together. Your boat will then head West to the Park.

The trip will take about 2 hours to the park and you will soon marvel at the sight of the Park as their karst shapes and beguiling beauty become larger on the horizon. Onboard you can sunbathe, stroll around deck, meet fellow explorers or just relax on the comfy bean bags and beds with a complimentary drink.

The first location visited will be the most remote and Northern part of the park, Ko Tai Phlao. Not many other operators visit this area so it’s very peaceful and amazing for kayaking. Don’t worry if you are not experienced in kayaking. The guides are very attentive and helpful and are great with beginners.

This area has got rock overhangs, tunnels, small caves and a hidden lagoon to explore too. In this marine adventure playground, you can also snorkel, swim and even jump off the boat shouting noisily with a big loud splash!

After you finish your lunch on board is when the sightseeing starts. A long tail boat will take you to the famous sparkling Emerald Green Lake island where you make a short but steep climb through narrow ravines and forest to a beautiful viewpoint of this magical inland sea.

The final stop is Koh Wua ta Lab. Here you will have the option of enjoying one of several activities.

  • Kayak again
  • Climb to the viewpoint where you will experience the awe-inspiring vista of the entire Park (for those with moderate to good levels of fitness)
  • Trek to the amazing Bua Bok Caves
  • Relax on the beach

On the leisurely journey back to Samui, you can enjoy a cold beer (which can be purchased on-board) or maybe an afternoon tea. You will arrive back at Nathon pier around 4:30 pm. The punctual and careful drivers will transport you back to your accommodation, arriving around 5:00 to 5:30pm.

An adventure to the Angthong Marine Park will live long in the memory and should not be missed by anyone holidaying in Koh Samui.

The boat has three levels, plenty of shaded seating and forward viewing areas. The top level can be used to sunbathe if you choose. More sheltered seating is on the lower decks together with toilets.

Our operator uses a big boat and not a speedboat. They store the kayaks onboard which allows great flexibility to move around and find the best spots for your adventure.

This trip is one of the best “island hopping” experiences in the Gulf of Thailand as you’re moving by kayak between smaller islands also which are dotted around this beautiful park. If you want to get up close to the raw scenery and water’s edge then this exclusive kayak trip won’t disappoint.
